Brisbane City Public Art

Brisbane City Public Art Platform

The Public Domain Improvement Program (PDIP) funds minor capital works to deliver a range of long lasting benefits to the community as well as ensuring the best possible experience for visitors during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).

In Brisbane, the public art project provides a legacy platform for temporary public art and includes two temporary public artwork installations at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens in Mt Coot-tha.

The platform takes the form of hardscape infrastructure that is 'exhibition ready'; with footing, lighting and attribution space.

The platform is branded to inform audiences that the opportunity is initiated as part of the Games. Two public artworks have being selected by Brisbane City Council with the first artwork being installed in March 2018.
