21 November is National Agriculture Day – a day dedicated to celebrating Australian agriculture!
Did you know that 83 per cent of Queensland’s land area is dedicated to tropical and sub-tropical agriculture? As a result, Queensland producers have the skills and resources to deliver clean, green and sustainable products to the world.
A key priority sector for Trade 2018, the GC2018 Commonwealth Games Trade and Investment program, Queensland Food and Agribusiness offers investors the opportunity to partner with our innovative and world-class agribusinesses to deliver fresh and safe food to a global market.
As a commitment to this sector, Team Trade 2018 is attending the three day, Brisbane’s 700 delegate International Tropical Agriculture Conference. This will assist in bringing together the best in research and innovation across plant, animal and food sciences. Researchers, investors, agribusiness professionals, policy makers, agricultural technicians, producers and students are attending the event to network and learn from colleagues and leading scientific practitioners from Australia, and the world.
The team will be talking with attendees about the excellent variety of opportunities the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will bring to Queensland thanks to the Trade 2018 program.
Trade 2018 is the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Trade and Investment Program developed by the Queensland Government in partnership with City of Gold Coast.
