In 2016 Queensland attracted more than 111,000 international student enrolments from more than 160 nations. Queensland’s international education and training sector is ready to partner for research, student mobility, joint program delivery and capacity building.

Queensland is a global hub for scientific research and discoveries. For more than a decade Queensland has invested heavily in science infrastructure, research and its commercialisation, to build research expertise in medicine, agriculture, food security, energy and environment.
Five Queensland universities made it into the 2016 'Top 150 Under 50' Times Higher Education ranking, more than any other Australian state.
